HGV MECHANIC VACANCY

We are looking to recruit an HGV Mechanic to be based at our Bridlington site maintaining fleet of Refuse Trucks, Skip-loaders, hook-loaders and plant.

You are required to have:
- Have relevant qualifications or experience required to maintain vehicles and plant machinery.
- Have a flexible approach to work – as we are a operate long hours and you will be expected to work to meet business demands.
- Be able to manage your time effectively, working both alone and as part of a team.
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring that the HGVs and trailers are kept in service by monitoring and repairing defects as they arise.
- Putting in place a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Respond to breakdowns when necessary.
- Liaising with transport management to ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Vehicle Inspections
- Ability to work on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles
- General Servicing
- Correction / repair of vehicle defects
- MOT Preparation / Presentation
- Completion of all required paperwork
