Summary
The job holder is responsible for the packing of finished goods for our customers in line with the specifications that apply for each production run. All aspects of preparedness for jobs, organisation and tidiness and cleanliness of designated areas are part of the job.
Duties and Responsibilities
The key areas for which this job holder will be accountable are:
Operations
- Working with the operators on the allocated line to pack customer finished goods in line with each customer’s specifications.
- Working collaboratively with the production operatives on the lines to ensure that the finished are produced and packed to meet customer standards and Company performance measures.
- Boxing and/or shrink-wrapping products on pallets.
- Organisation and cleaning of machine area and designated areas as directed.
Technical & Quality
- Spotting and raising quality issues with the finished goods noticed as products are being packed on the line. Never letting a quality issue go without being addressed at the time it happens.
Qualifications / Experience
Essential
- Experience in a fast paced, quality focussed production environment.
- Able to work as part of a production team
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent time keeping.
Desirable
- Experience in paper goods packing or other light goods production.
Skills / Abilities
Essential:
- Team player with an open and friendly personality with a can-do attitude.
- Excellent customer focus
- Working to tight production deadlines
- Ability to liaise clearly with other staff members and supervisors.
- Practical approach.
- Committed to producing solid results.
