We are currently recruiting for a Trainee CAD Technician / Estimator for our client based in Newport. You will be putting together technical quotations with a view to move eventually into a CAD design role.
As a Trainee CAD Technician you will:
- Create production drawings for specials using AutoCAD (2D cad)
- Create sign off drawings for specials and standards using AutoCAD
- Create 2D Models in Solidworks
- Prepare production packs
- Inspect drawings when necessary
- Work within customer requirement deadlines
Our client requires a CAD Technician with:
- Experience of using AutoCAD/Solidworks desirable but not essential.
- Preferably with experience in a manufacturing / construction environment
- A keenness to learn and develop

Based 3 days out of Newport and 2 days at home initially.
