Role Overview & Responsibilities

My client based in Ashington are looking for a Hand Assembler and Production Operative to join their very fast-growing business. This is a long term ongoing temporary position with options of going permanent for the perfect candidate.

The post holder will be responsible for operating several machines and carrying out various processes in product assembly but may be asked to assist across the whole of the Production environment as and when required.

Specific responsibilities:
  • Hand assembling the product together ensuring a high quality finished product.
  • Filling in and finishes made using equipment and materials supplied.
  • Inspecting the product and assembling to meet the high specification.
  • Inscribing by hand where needed.
Experience, Skills and Abilities:
  • A strong team player with the ability to work effectively as part of a large production team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external parties where necessary.
  • Excellent hand-eye co-ordination and a high level of manual dexterity to competently handle the delicate and intricate parts.
  • The ability to demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, tenacity and willingness for continuous improvement and learning.
  • Once fully trained and competent, the ability to train and coach colleagues on specific tasks and processes.
