This is your chance to be part of something extraordinary!We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team! This person will work on-site with the possibility for a hybrid schedule in the future.
Responsibilities:Maintain a computerized financial reporting system and compile financial data.Process invoices in a timely manner and investigate non-payments or invoice problems.Determine customer credit status and follow up with customers for collection.Perform bank deposits, apply cash into A/R system, and reconcile A/R balance to General Ledger.Participate in posting, balancing, analysis, and reconciliation of the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.Assist in preparation of forecasts and annual budgets.Compile financial data for income tax requirements.Assist outside auditors at year-end by preparing schedules and providing necessary data.Manage aging Accounts Receivable (A/R) reports to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.Utilize Department of State web portals proficiently for invoice submission and processing.Communicate effectively with Department of State representatives to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to invoice submissions.Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding billing inquiries and concerns.Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors through effective communication and problem-solving.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.2+ years of related experience preferred.Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred.Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Strong organizational skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.U.S. Citizenship is required for all roles.
Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift/move up to 10 pounds.
