Business Case Analyst - Inside IR35
Contract Term: 6 months (with possible extension)

Job Purpose:
Horizon EU alternatives require significant analysis and continued appraisal of economic benefits to the UK of various funding models.
As a Business Case Analyst, your main responsibilities would be to:
- · Provide comprehensive analytical support to the development of the in-flight Horizon EU business cases (e.g. Team Science). Appraisals will involve the careful application of Green Book appraisal techniques.
- · Coordinate data collection and analysis with BEIS.
- · Synthesize key findings and present them at workshops to senior UKRI stakeholders to ensure our strategic awareness of the options we face is well understood not only in central UKRI but also across councils.
- · Gather evidence needed to support future appraisals for allocation of Horizon EU funds and coordinate rigorous analysis on the counterfactual support the research community would have faced had the UK remained in Horizon for the purposes of future analysis.
You’ll have relevant experience in:
- · Degree (or equivalent experience), ideally in a subject such as economics, social sciences, mathematics, sciences, or engineering.
- · Economic experience and familiarity with economic appraisal methodologies
- · Experience using Green Book techniques
