Role Overview & Responsibilities
To support the Production Foreman and Operations Director in ensuring customer orders are processed effectively. To ensure operations happen on time and meet or exceed customer requirements. Maintain a high standard of health and safety for everyone in the operations environment.· Ensure that equipment is maintained in a clean and safe operational condition. Ensure that equipment is capable and ready for use, in its designated location. Report and resolve processing errors in a timely and effective manner. Accurately and effectively interpret technical drawings and instructions to deliver customer expectations.
Work in accordance with the quality management system (QMS) Maintain QMS documentation and ensure records are accurate and timely. Receipt of goods into the business using approved systems. Clean and prepare items for processing. Packaging and despatch of items. Use of relevant technology and systems. Ensure that work is carried out to the required standard, within the set timings. Maintain the organisation, hygiene, and safety of the working environment. Communicate effectively. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of products, processes and systems. Implement, maintain and improve health and safety practices and systems. Some operators, with suitable training, will also be required to undertake the following; Application of coatings. Finishing of applied coatings. Operate equipment in the machine shop. Laboratory analysis. Welding. Preparation of tooling. Facilities and equipment maintenance. Final inspection. Stock control.· Minimum 5 years practical workshop and/or other relevant experience. Apprentice trained in an engineering environment. Experience of functional coatings. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
