Senior Accountant- Alternative Investment fund

Seeking a Senior Accountant for our client. They are a large Alternative Investment Firm that also has a Broker/Deaer
Your role:Assist the Controller with maintaining the books and records of the investment advisory business and their broker dealerposting journal entries and performing reconciliations.Support annual audit requests and assist with the preparation of the annual financial statements and related footnotes.Assist with preparation of quarterly tax estimates.Assist with preparation of the monthly Focus reports and other regulatory filings.Perform special projects as requested by management.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting3+ years of solid accounting experience (preferably in the broker dealer or investment advisory environment). Public accounting experience is strongly preferredAdvanced Excel skills to include VLOOKUP and Pivot TablesUnderstanding of partnership accountingExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively in a dynamic environmentCPA certification is preferred
