The role


As an Entry Level Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will create significant value by leveraging your skills in generating outstanding new build and in-service design solutions.

Day to day, you’ll be supporting the planning, design and delivery of complex mechanical systems equipment. You will be requested to undertake concept or detailed design dependent upon the maturity of the projects underway.

We offer flexible working to give people more options to better integrate their work and personal life, whilst ensuring that business needs are met. This role provides hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days in the office/onsite and 3-4 days working from home.


Duties include:


  • Carry out technical investigations and analysis to provide data for problem assessment/resolution and for design of improvement.
  • Contribute to process improvement within the operational and/or design lifecycle to deliver continuous improvements in quality, cycle time and asset utilisation.
  • Apply engineering domain knowledge to produce technical solutions and documentation in support of assigned task and project.
  • Produce, review, verify outputs including: calculations, analyses, technical reports, technical specifications and method statements.

Essential experience of the Mechanical Engineer.


  • Experienced in Computer Aided Design
  • A good communicator who enjoys collaboration with others.

Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer


  • Qualified in a relevant technical degree.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
