Who we are looking for

A Marketing Associate who will focus on aligning sports with the development of a local strategy and deploying various media channels as new state jurisdictions become priority.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about media and sports to join our growing Marketing Team.

You will have the ability to locally lead implementation of the brand’s marketing strategy, with a focus on sports, from start to finish to raise brand awareness working with the wider marketing team. This encompasses developing media strategy based on the various US states of interest and connecting with the local media channels and sports stakeholders to bring the plans to life (with the assistance of the media and creative agencies).

The ideal candidate will be experienced with sports media planning, buying, property evaluation and other media functions. This position is located in Ohio and will be fully remote.

Preferred skills and experience

Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

Familiarity with traditional media channel practices and local planning.

Experience with evaluating and negotiating a variety of sports property types.

Capacity to manage agency, property and media relationships and communications.

Strong project management, attention to detail, multi-tasking and decision-making skills.

Agency or client side experience is a plus.

Must have an interest in sports and curiosity about the sports betting category.

Main Responsibilities

Developing local marketing strategies aligning with organizational objectives.

Executing the local planning, buying and stewardship of media.

Evaluating and negotiating sponsorship opportunities with various sports properties (networks, programs, teams, etc.).

Managing campaigns and partnerships from a strategic and creative standpoint.

Forecasting and budgeting management.

Monitoring competitive activity.

Maintaining relationships within the marketplace and proactively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders across different teams.
