Visiting the same person each time, each week creates a nice working environment. Allowing you to get to know the people you visit and they look forward to seeing you each week too. It can take a couple of weeks for your rota to reach that point, but not long. Covering other Helpers visits when needed allows you to meet new people too and help you to feel part of a team.
Duties include: Shopping for individuals, House hold duties, Accompanying individuals to appointments, Companionship (conversation/days out/building confidence), Meal preparation, support after bad health or injury OR coming home from hospital. Previous experience within a background of caring, health and social care OR HOUSEKEEPING/CLEANING would be beneficial, but not a must.
