About Us:
Broxap is a family owned engineering business based in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, established in 1946. We are market leaders in the design and manufacture of street furniture, shelters, covered walkways and playground equipment.
We are currently looking to expand our team with individuals to pick, fettle, inspect and prepare product at our workshops in Chesterton.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am - 16:30pm, Friday 07:30am - 13:30pm. Additional hours may be required.
Holidays: 25 days holiday entitlement, plus 8 bank holidays
Salary: Competitive hourly rate

The Role:
Inspection of mild steel, stainless steel and cast iron products to ensure the required Broxap quality standards are maintained. Capturing product quality issues at source to minimize impact to the business. As well as picking, fettling and preparing products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure goods are inspected and checked against picking list or drawing.
- Fettle products as required.
- Issue all parts for powder coating.
- Accurately wrap and pack to a high standard.
- Loading transport vehicles if required.
Experience and Required Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Efficient with IT systems
- Correct PPE for the job
- Competent in use of FLT
- Understanding of measuring equipment
- Interpretation of pick lists
- Use of relevant cutting, grinding and shaping equipment
- Use of cranes and slings
- Department housekeeping
