Job Summary:
Calero the leading technology expense management solution for complex enterprises, is looking for a Product Owner! This role will manage the delivery of several high value strategic roadmap projects within the SaaS product line. This will include cross functional areas like analytics and user experience across the VeraSMART platform. The role is varied and provides exposure and collaboration with many stakeholders across the business working closely with Engineering, Sales and Operations as well as gathering requirements and feedback from our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and own the delivery and prioritization of the product roadmap
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and customers to ensure the product backlog is comprehensive, well defined, and meets the defined outcomes
- Own epics, features and stories through the complete product life cycle
- Facilitate the breakdown of epics and features into User Stories
- Writing clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria
- Ensuring the team understands all work items in the product backlog
- Ensuring the non-functional requirements have been considered (Observability, Scalability. Maintainability, etc.)
- Ensuring that the team has met the definition of ready for all work items
- Ensure depth in a comprehensive high-quality product backlog
- Work closely with the Product Manager to understand the strategic direction of the product roadmap
- Work with the team to coordinate unplanned critical requests and escalations
- Speak to and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Coordinate the delivery of dependencies between teams
- Ensure that all work items are complete before signing them off
- Confirming the acceptance criteria has been met
- Ensuring that the team has met the definition of done for all work items
- Maintain alignment between the Product Devlopment and the Product Roadmap
- Demonstrate progress to key stakeholders at the end of each sprint
- Work with the rest of the business to train and spread knowledge in new functionality through demo walkthroughs and documentation
- Be the first point of contact and product SME for the business
- Drive adoption by assisting the business to use recently developed features
Job Requirements:
Education: Consideration may be given to a candidate with a degree in lieu of experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in a software Product Owner role
- Previous business analysis, consulting and/or product engineering experience
Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record of managing conflicting priorities from different stakeholder groups and reconciling based on value to the business
- Customer focused
- High-energy, self-directed, and able to lead, drive, and make decisions
- Passionate about designing innovative solutions that differentiate us from our competitors
- Training and experience with Pragmatic Marketing desirable but not essential
