About The Opportunity
The People Operations Associate is a full-time assignment to cover the day-to-day responsibilities related to the employee lifecycle, troubleshooting and administering various People systems, and running and maintaining reports. The breadth of People Systems that this role supports for reporting and analytics includes, but is not limited to, Core HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, and Compensation.
This role reports to the Manager, People Systems and Analytics and will interact with employees to resolve numerous issues with high confidentiality and customer service, and cross-functionally with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues within various People Systems.

This position is based in San Francisco, California. Staff are currently expected to work from the Academy offices at least 2-3 times per week, which may fluctuate based on business needs. Please do not apply if you are not able to work onsite. The People & Culture team collaborates across the Academy to: 1) build a thriving culture in which all staff members feel cared for and respected, with opportunities for growth: and 2) deeply connect employees to the Academy’s purpose of regenerating the natural world.
Key Responsibilities
People Systems:
Enters employee life cycle data by ensuring correct processing of workflows and forms, completes periodic audits of data, assists with data imports & audits for mass changes, and creates employee memos Assists with Benefits updates and adjustments within HRIS and other record-keeping systems Responsible for PACT/Payroll meetings to ensure the proper processing and payment to employees based on employee changes and updates within Dayforce Participates in the testing, training, rollout, and ongoing maintenance of People related systems and processes Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to employees and supervisors on various People Systems Troubleshoots first-tier issues and works cross-functionality with other teams within the Academy, Dayforce Support, and external partners as needed Monitor, create, and process People & Culture work tickets in online systems Assists with managing permissions, access, personalizations, and security within the various People Systems Assists with DocuSign administration including maintaining templates, webforms, processes, and training materials May provide backup for delivering training to new supervisors on People Systems and Processes during Supervisor 101
Reporting & Analytics
Supports the People Systems & Analytics Manager in creating, maintaining, and delivering recurring and ad-hoc reports to various stakeholders Supports ongoing Analytics efforts, including the maintenance of Employee Headcount, Diversity, Turnover, and Exit Interview Dashboards Assists with the creation of dashboards and analytics under the director of the People Systems & Analytics Manager
General People & Culture
Assists in evaluating positions to determine job placement, and classification, assign established pay ranges, and create and prepare reports on compensation with guidance from the Compensation Manager Assists with the I9 compliance and E-Verify processes Responds to written employment verification letters and references Administers the separation process including scheduling of the exit interview process and coordinating the final paycheck and equipment collection Assists with the maintenance of the Academy intranet site for People & Culture and employee-related requests Provides backup assistance to the PACT team for purchase orders in Oracle and tracking invoices Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications: A successful candidate will have the following:
Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree in related field; HR certification preferred Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience working in a function or department with a strong focus on employee lifecycle data, HRIS systems, and reporting Demonstrated experience using an HRIS system, preferably Ceridian Dayforce, for inputting employee lifecycle data, troubleshooting issues, and reporting Experience creating custom and ad-hoc reports in Excel and using vlookup, pivot tables and other advanced features
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups of people Open and inclusive approach with demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with GoogleSuite A high degree of computer literacy and accuracy including intermediate Excel knowledge Experience in Data Visualization Tools (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau) and SQL preferred Demonstrated commitment to DEIA and provides recommendations to People & Culture processes and programs to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable workplace

Compensation And Benefits
Starting salary will vary based on experience, skills/knowledge set, and internal equity. The Academy offers a total compensation package that emphasizes both base salary and comprehensive benefits based on the hours per week worked.
