Job Title: Sales and Marketing Manager Conference and Events
Sector: Business Events, Conferences, Trade Shows, Corporate Meetings
Hours of work: Full Time including occasional weekends as required
Location: Brightfield Business Hub, Peterborough, Close to A1
Remuneration: Basic £30k + Commission and an on target earnings package of £60k
Progression: Fantastic opportunities for developing an established conference and meeting facility in an existing business
Job Purpose
To develop the BBH conference business and establish BBH as the preferred conference and events venue in Peterborough and the surrounding area. Generate conference and events business and compete with nearby venues.
Key Activities
- Marketing the BBH Conference venue through online advertising, through word of mouth, and through new and existing relationships.
- Provide outstanding customer service from initial enquiries through to events and aftercare.
- Build a portfolio of customers and win repeat business.
- Cold calling. Build, maintain and use CRM, Mailshots, Social media.
- Partnering with public and private sector customers to win business.
- Benchmarking competition, analysis, reporting progress.
- Added value sale.

- Capable of building and maintaining strong and lasting relationships.

- Numerate / Literate / Computer literate and able to produce and use spreadsheets, databases and word processing.
- Good Communicator. Confident and enthusiastic.
