Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job title: Support Worker
Location: Delrow Community, Hilfield Lane, Aldenham, Watford, WD25 8DJ.
Purpose: To provide autonomous assistance to the people we support to fulfil their potential for independence, choice, inclusion and control. We provide support to people who have learning difficulties or disabilities.
Salary: £11.95 per hour.
Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Sunday (some shift rotation). There’s overtime as well if interested.

We have full time rotating shift opportunities but also condensed days e.g. work full time over 3 or 4 days.
Supporting a group of young adults with Learning Disabilities, Delrow House is a busy, lively, and exciting place to be, as well as supporting people to grow their independence with their daily living skills, you will also find yourself supporting tenants to be fully active in the community, supporting with work, enjoying leisure activities and lots of cinema trips!
We have lots of houses in our Watford community and you could be a key part of our well-established community.

Who are we looking for?

  • You will have a desire to support people achieve a life full of opportunities. Experience is not necessary but an understanding of the importance of supporting someone to have autonomy in their life is.
  • You’ll be responsible for ensuring that care and support is of a high standard, focused on person centred outcomes and delivered within budget
  • You’ll have a supportive and encouraging natural approach: the People we support live in their own homes or shared houses and will need support and guidance to maintain their home, use laundry equipment, cook, plan shopping and will need help looking after their finances.
