Role Overview & Responsibilities

Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

Care Practice Group is recruiting Health and Social Care workers all around London. We welcome experienced Healthcare Assistant, Carer and Support Worker from all parts of London. As an HCA, you will work with qualified healthcare professionals (e.g. senior carer, nurse and doctor).

Job Description:

The work role includes:

· washing and dressing patients, toileting, making beds, providing individual patient care,

· serving meals and helping to feed elderly patients,

· helping people to move around,

· talking to patients and making them comfortable,

· monitoring patients' conditions (e.g. taking temperatures, weight etc.) and reporting to the senior,

· preparing the seating and dining area,

· record keeping (e.g. writing daily care plan).

Skills and personal characteristics:

To be a healthcare assistant, you will need to be:

· caring and kind,

· cheerful and friendly,

· willing to be hands-on with patients,

· willing to do personal care,

· able to follow instructions and procedures,

· able to work in a team but use your own initiative,

· good communication skills,

· observational skills,

· organisational skills,

Career progression:

You may also get the chance to study:

· Care Certificate,

· Level 2 in Health and Social Care qualifications,

· Level 3 in Health and Social Care qualifications.

Pay rates:

£10.00 to £14.50 per hour depending on experience and shifts.

Required Documents:

· Up-to-date CV with the work & education history (on MS Word file),

· Valid passport, Valid right of work, Proof of NINO,

· Two reference letters or details of two referees,

· Mandatory Trainings Certificates – (we can assist you to complete or refresh your mandatory trainings which will costs £55),

· Enhanced DBS Certificate - (we can assist you to apply for a new DBS which will costs £59),

· Qualifications – (we will assist you to complete Care Certificate),

· 2 x current proof of address.
