We are looking for a full-time Visual Merchandiser to join our Harrods Team on a one year fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for window display installations, in-store displays and product merchandising of all product categories in line with company directives and commercial needs
- Liaise regularly with key stake holders: Buying, department managers, marketing and CRM
- Participate in the organisation of special in-store events when necessary
- Participate in weekly walkthroughs, providing strategic decision making for the success of the business
- Regular use of D-Qlik to be able to present commercial knowledge and VM action plans
- Maintain a consistent knowledge of product and best sellers in order to maximise sales by promoting certain products – money mapping where necessary
- Manage the ordering, handling and organisation of all display materials, sharing data and picture with UK VM Manager monthly
- Share photographs after every rotation with UK VM Manager in ppt format
- Organise and conduct in-store training sessions on visual merchandising guidelines and visual merchandising standards to store staff including new starters
- Support VM activities in other locations when necessary including store rotations and events
- Carry out any additional duties as directed by the UK VM Manager
Profile
- Previous experience as a VM within a luxury fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of current trends in design
- A passion for Christian Dior and our collections
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and flexible approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be organised
- Proficient in Microsoft – PPT, Excel and Word
- The ability to work well as part of a team and alone
- Flexible for night shifts (window installations)
