With 25 years’ experience of building beautiful bespoke motor launches, sailing yachts and superyacht tenders for a discerning clientele, we are a family-run business, a reputable brand and a growing company that is globally respected in the boatbuilding industry.

We are looking for full-time Boatbuilders to come and join our team working 07.00am-17.30pm Monday-Thursday (40 hours per week). There are positions available for all levels of experience.

Job description

The role of Boat Builder will include the following:

  • Scribing and fitting Joinery parts
  • Fitting teak decks
  • Fitting external Stainless-steel hardware
  • Installation of windows, doors and furnishings
  • Using hand and machine tools
  • Fitting of GRP parts
  • And all other aspects of Boat Assembly

Essential Skills

  • Able to show competence and experience in a variety of boat building skills
  • Take pride in, and take responsibility for the work that you do
  • Be happy working under supervision, but competent working alone where required
  • Be confident using fixed machinery
  • To be accurate
  • Good attention to detail and well organised
  • Good practical hand skills – Practical skills we find are often more important than qualifications.
  • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Hard working and reliable

Location
The usual place of work for this role is the Mylor Creek Boatyard or at our site at Ponsharden, Falmouth TR11 2SD.

Salary
A competitive and negotiable hourly rate of £10 to £16, dependent on experience.
