Support Worker – Reading
£14.50 per hour – free DBS checks subject to contract
We have agreat opportunity for a Support Worker in the Reading area to work with young people and adults in independent living settings.
The role includes the support of the clients within a case load, you will develop life skills in areas such as rent arrears, debts, budgeting, social isolation, food and utilities or other basic essentials, with the aim of developing independence so your clients can live their best lives and prevent the risk of homelessness.
You will have excellent communication skills and can connect with a range of people, who have a variety of backgrounds which include homelessness, mental health, alcohol/substance misuse or ex-offenders.
Applicants who have an understanding of housing and welfare benefits system, homelessness and mental health will be an advantage.
