Compton Care is a Hospice in Wolverhampton that supports patients and their carers & families through to end of life and palliative care.
We run a 24 hour a day service for Inpatients and community care together with patient services, including bereavement and supportive care.
We are currently offering an exciting opportunity as a Neurological Diversional Volunteer working within our Living Well Department.
The Neurological Support branch of Living Well and Compton Care aims to access those in the community diagnosed and living with life limiting Neuro Diseases and Disorders.
Neurological and Life Limiting Conditions can be challenging for everyone included and can include but not limited to Dementia, Parkinsonβs, MS, MND, DMD, DRPLA, PSP and Huntingtonβs Disease.
These conditions are complex in nature and the sessions will need coordination, diversion and people who can βthink on their feetβ to change things up as we go.
We aim to create safe spaces and sessions that they can attend as individuals and or with family/carers where they will be able to meet new people, reduce isolating elements of their lives and maintain independence for as long as possible.
If you feel that this is an area you are experienced in and wish to support the department as a volunteer please do apply.
