Working Hours:* 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Reporting to: Financial Controller
We are currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant and envisage that this post will suit someone who has worked in a finance team before and is looking to progress, either already or looking to study towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA. The role is likely to evolve and grow in time along with the company, so a flexible approach will be required.
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and take on new challenges whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism with the output of their work. This will be a fulfilling and exciting role for the right person with the ability to add real value to the wider business. We are looking to build a best-in-class finance department and want someone with the drive and ambition to achieve this with us.

Main responsibilities*
- Assist with Management Accounts preparation
- Collate and account for the third-party costs for jobs
- Bank account reconciliation
- VAT monthly return preparation and submission
- Cover AP & AR functions where required (holiday cover)
- Storage billing
- Administration of insurance cover for fine art

Requirements*
- Previous experience in a finance department (ideally within a SME environment)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Ability to communicate appropriately dependent on the audience
- Willingness to learn and a can-do attitude
Desirable
- Experience with Sage 200 accounting software
- Currently studying towards AAT/ ACCA/ CIMA
