The Enterprise Data Enablement Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategic vision for data enablement across the entire organization. This leadership position is tasked with the comprehensive execution of initiatives that ensure the seamless accessibility, high quality, robust governance, and effective utilization of data. The ultimate goal is to support and enhance business objectives while fostering a culture that values and leverages data-driven decision-making. This position will also be accountable for delivering an Enterprise Data Marketplace solution.

The Enterprise Data Enablement Lead will help to unlock the full potential of our data assets, enabling Cox's data analytics users to turn data into a strategic asset that drives growth and competitive advantage.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Vision and Execution
    • Develop and articulate a clear, forward-thinking strategy for data enablement that aligns with the organization's overall business goals.
    • Lead the implementation of this strategy through well-defined initiatives and projects and tasks, ensuring that all efforts are coordinated and contribute to the broader vision.
  • Data Accessibility
    • Ensure that data is readily accessible to all relevant stakeholders within the organization, providing the right data to the right people at the right time.
    • Promote the adoption of self-service data tools and platforms, empowering employees to access and analyze data independently, thereby democratizing data usage.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
    • Foster a data-driven culture by encouraging the use of data in everyday business processes and decision-making at all levels of the organization.
    • Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that data initiatives are aligned with business priorities.
    • Communicate the value and impact of data initiatives effectively to diverse audiences, building support and engagement across the organization.


Requirements

Minimum:

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline (i.e. Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems.) with with 8 years of experience in a related field.
    • The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience; or 20 years' experience in lieu of a degree
  • 6+ years of experience in an Enterprise data role working with data warehousing, big data and cloud hyper scalers
  • Deep expertise in SQL languages across Oracle, AWS, and Snowflake databases.
  • Understanding of data modeling and data architecture.
  • Experience within telecommunications, cable industry or high tech.
  • Experience in programming skills and ability to utilize a variety of languages such as R, Python, Scala, Java.
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as Google, Microsoft, or Amazon.
  • Experience working with data processing tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, DBT, Spark, MapReduce, Kafka Pub/Sub and similar tools.
  • Experience working with data cataloging tools such as Informatica, Calibra and similar tools.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot and similar tools.
  • Proven track record of leading motivating, developing, and coaching employees; building a high-performance team with demonstrated success and developing and retaining high-performing employees.
  • Ability to work flexible work hours/schedule.


Preferred:

  • 10+ years of experience in an Enterprise data role working with data warehousing, big data and cloud hyper scalers.
  • Worked with Enterprise Data Marketplaces or led implementations of EDMs.
  • Implemented distributed data delivery team Operating Model within a governed multi-tenant environment.
  • Expert in Data development and architectural patterns and best practices.
  • Worked directly with business executives around their data strategy and insight generation capabilities.
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize daily work; exercise project management skills.
  • Ability to leverage analytical and customer-centric approaches to set priorities, make decisions, and deliver results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to clearly define goals and champion change for the business.


USD 131,600.00 - 219,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $131,600.00 - $219,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
