Job Description
A well-established development and construction company is looking for an experienced CAD Draftsman/ Junior CAD Technician to join their small team on a permanent basis in the office based in West London.
The ideal candidate must have excellent English, written and verbal communication skills, and a proven track record in design and drafting and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD)-ideally ArchiCAD and AutoCAD. Must be up to date with latest Building Regulations and Approved Documents and have a full knowledge of Fire, Security and Safety technical details that can be reflected on detail drawings.
The role will expect you to prepare construction detail drawings to meet the project requirements within the deadlines. This will involve taking precise measurements to develop detailed building plans for submission to building control for review and approval.
The position will be office based Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Ability and knowledge to confidently use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ideally previous experience within a CAD Design role.
- Good initiative, including a logical approach to problem solving.
- Ability and knowledge to confidently use Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- Have good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and submission items for tender/contract.
- Have the ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and outside bodies.
Key responsibilities:
- Producing and amending CAD Design, Construction and As Fitted drawings using AutoCAD / ArchiCAD software.
- Producing clear and informative production drawings and technical information.
- Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
- Provide reports as appropriate to your line manager.
- Working closely with a team of other professionals such as project managers, building service engineers, construction managers and estimators.
- Accommodate safety procedures and issues in installation and construction drawings.
Salary range reflects the level of experience.
