Skilled Factory Operative – Davin Foods
Location: Barking, London
Salary: £10.50-£12.50 per hour (Dependant on Experience)

We just need one more person to join our valued team members at Davin foods,
To Join us all we we ask is are you experienced in using the knife?
We are also looking for someone who:
- Can Prepare a range of vegetables using peelers and knives, including root veg and salads
- Be able to do a variety of cuts including slice, dice, turn, julienne
- Help bag and pack your finished vegetables
- Work quickly and accurately
- Ensure quality of every vegetable is perfect to keep our customers happy
- Keep your work area clean and tidy
- Follow H&S instructions to keep yourself and your team safe and happy at work
You may have transferable skills having worked within a fish mongers or butchers or you may be a Junior Chef looking for a new challenge.
This role requires a level of dexterity and good knife skills in preparing fresh fruit & Vegetables to customer specifications. if you are looking to work within the food industry, we will provide you with the necessary training to make you a cut above the rest.
Thirdly, What you will be doing:
- Safely prepare fresh cut fruit and Vegetables for packaging, trays, and juices.
- Safely use sharp tools/knives for cutting and trimming product to ensure high quality presentation and appearance.
- Keep good housekeeping of your work area by applying the Company ‘Clean as you always go’ policy.
- Always adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
- Be happy to work the following Shift Pattern: 5 days over 6 (Sunday - Friday)
Hours of Work: Choice between 40 hours or 48 hours per week:
40 = Sunday to Thursday 9am to finish (usually between 6pm and 9pm)
48 = Sunday to Friday 9am to finish (usually between 6pm and 9pm)
Our volume changes every day, and finish times may be later than 9pm.
