With a role in Ventures, you will comb through industry trends and market data to discover insights and growth opportunities that translate into strategic operational plans for Dell Technologies.

Dell Technologies Capital (DTC) is the investment arm of Dell Technologies. The group invests broadly in early-stage innovative IT infrastructure start-ups. The primary responsibilities of the group are to source, qualify and manage investments. DTC deploys approximately $150-200M capital every year and invests in 15-20 new companies.

What You’ll Achieve

The Partner will be responsible for working with DTC Managing Directors to develop a pipeline and conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities. This position is based in Palo Alto and, therefore, an individual who is well plugged into SF Bay Area entrepreneurial ecosystem will be ideal. We are seeking an individual who has the potential to become a Managing Director within a few years

You will:

Identify emerging trends and best start-ups in relevant segmentsThis individual will work with Managing Directors to develop investment themesMap investment trends and develop a pipeline of companies for investmentResponsible for supporting US-based portfolio companies subsequent to investmentNetwork with key stakeholders and increase our visibility among entrepreneurs in SF Bay Area

Essential Requirements

5+ years of relevant technology product management and/or investment experience in emerging technologies like DevOps/Developer-led, AI/ML, Data Management, Automation, and Cybersecurity.Ability to take a hypothesis-driven approach to investment decision-makingFinancial modeling and superior analytical skillsGood understanding of the venture capital industry and structureCan work effectively within all levels of the organization, from executives to individual contributors along with outstanding judgment and the ability to manage confidentiality without exception

Desirable Requirements

Technical undergraduate degree a plus, MBA or technical graduate degree preferredAbility to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $388,000.00 to $475,000.00
