Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced seamstress or tailor to join our team in Watford. We are looking for a professional who has the skills and patience to make custom clothing in faced paced environment, while producing a high-quality final product. The Seamstress/Tailor must be capable of sewing and understanding patterns from start to finish and using sustainable materials, and also have an innate sense of what a quality garment should feel like. Furthermore, the Tailor must have good knowledge of sustainable fabrics and experience with garment design, while also being highly skilled with a sewing machine.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to read patterns and create products from that pattern.
- Know how to use an industrial sewing machine and overlocker.
- Be able to cut the fabric into desired shape, length and size.
- Thorough understanding of garment construction.
MUST have at least 2 years tailoring/seamstress experience in a professional environment
* Have a sharp eye for detail
Salary: £10-£12.00 per hour
