YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this role as the Microbiologist at Dr. Oetker, is to carry out a wide range of microbiological tests on raw materials, finished products and environmental samples.
- To provide technical and administrative support to ensure the business meets food safety, quality and regulatory requirements. To include but not limited to:
- Assessing product quality and adherence to specifications by in-house Microbiological analysis.
- Responsiblilty for the set up and maintenance of key databases that will allow for trending and analysis.
- Recording results onto SAP QM system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Analysing data and interpreting results.
- Sampling and analysing Environmental samples for hygiene monitoring.
- Maintaining calibration and record keeping of relevant lab equipment.
- Organising for external analysis of products according to the test plan.
- Stock rotation and stock ordering.
- Supporting additional tasks to deliver safe and legal products of the quality our customers expect.

- Excellent planning and organisational skills, good time management and the ability to work within a rapidly changing environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Detail conscious – the ability to follow procedures with a high level of accuracy.
- Self-motivated and flexible. The ability to prioritise tasks and handle multiple projects at one time.
- Interpretation and evaluation of results with a high level of accuracy.
- Practical and self-motivated with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships beyond your area of work.
- A great team player with the ability to work on their own initiative.
