The job itself

Undertake teaching and learning activities with either individuals, groups or whole classes of pupils, including where the assigned teacher is not present, to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical, emotional and educational development;

Be able to demonstrate their experience of supporting children in an educational setting.

Be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of how children learn and develop.

Be committed to developing children as independent learners and thinkers.

Have high expectations of achievement, attitudes to learning and behaviour.

Continue the excellent relationships with parents and the community.

Be passionate about meeting children's needs.

Undertake appropriate training and be required to support children with medical needs.

Be an excellent communicator and team member who is positive, caring and flexible.

Be totally committed to inclusion and equality.

Understand the aims and ethos of our school.

Deliver a range of services to primary school age children.

Provide a safe and secure environment for children at all times.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with parents, children and School staff.

Develop and maintain accurate planning, ensuring all administration work is completed.

Have a fun and energetic nature.

Be an inspirational individual who can bring creativeness to the school.

Be reliable and passionate over everything else as there will be interaction with many different people.

Support the medical needs of the children.

Be able to relate to and engage with children between the ages of 4-11.

Carry out any other activities deemed suitable by the school’s leadership team.
