Our Transcultural Therapeutic Care need a Art Psychotherapist to work with children 2-12 years.

The award winning Ellesmere Children’s Centre requires passionate, enthusiastic and committed Therapists, to work within our lottery funded transcultural therapeutic centre.

Full time and Sessional 2 days a week (More days can be offered)

We are looking for an inspiring and creative Art Therapist to be part of a newly formed therapeutic intervention team offering play therapy to children in and on the edge of care. You will be joining our passionate and dedicated team within the Specialist Intervention Service and work with colleagues within the children’s centre. Some of the work will involve small groups within the nursery setting.

You must be a fully qualified Art Therapist with an accredited MA or postgraduate diploma. Candidates should have at least two years post qualification experience and registered with BAPT (British Association of Play Therapists) or HCP. We will consider newly qualified Therapists.

This post requires a children’s and adults Enhanced DBS check.

The play therapist role requires experience and understanding of child development, excellent communication, observation and listening skills. Candidates must be comfortable working with different age groups, making valid assessments and show evidence of a diverse therapeutic practice.

The therapy environment requires resilience and self awareness, the ability to deal with confidential matters appropriately and work closely with other professionals.
