Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Title: Production Operative – Permanent Contract

We have a great opportunity for Production Operators on a permanent, full-time basis.

Epson Telford Limited was established in 1987, we are on a 50-acre site and operate a 24/7 manufacturing site. Epson is the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks and have recently expanded into blow moulding.

Quality and innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from the Cleanroom environment to the in-house machinery, design and technology improvements from which they use our own 6-axis robots.

Salary:

£19,910 plus 20% shift allowance per annum

Three Rotational Shift Pattern:

Week 1 – Sunday 11.00pm to 6.00am Monday to Thursday 10.00pm to 6.00am

Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 2.00pm to 10.00pm Friday 1.00pm to 8.00pm

Week 3 – Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 2.00pm Friday 6.00am to 1.00pm

Following successful shortlisted application, you will be invited to Epson’s site to go through a recruitment process, to include: literacy and numeracy test, drug and alcohol test, health and safety briefing, and competency-based interview. The assessment will take around 2.5 hours to complete.

The next assessment day is arranged for Thursday 23rd March 2023 between the hours of 10.00am to 12.30pm & 2.30pm to 5.00pm.

The role:

  • Operate automatic manufacturing equipment
  • Loading and uploading of parts
  • Unpacking and preparation of component parts
  • Transfer of finished goods to the next process
  • In process sample inspections and measurement
  • Recording of data
  • Ensure all cleanliness of the lines and working area are maintained to a high standard
  • Record accurate defect
  • Escalation of machine downtime to the Team Leader, Engineer and Supervision
  • Carry out 10% inspection of offline quality checks daily
  • Escalate offline issues and work towards the achievement of KPIs
