Are you a Service Technician who has developed a technical skill set within a franchised dealer or independent garage environment and now looking to work for one of the largest automotive groups in the UK?

Our long standing, well known and recognised Citroen Dealership in Hull is performing amazingly and we would love you to be part of our future and join us at this exciting time. You will have the opportunity to work for an experienced franchise Service Leader and can benefit from manufacturer training, a great atmosphere and plenty of work to keep you productive!

As a skilled vehicle technician, you must hold skills and knowledge to undertake both minor and major mechanical faults (including engine repairs) and return vehicles back to manufacturer specification and standards.

We are welcoming applications from Technicians/Service Technicians who are NVQ level 2/3 trained or equivalent and have experience working within a busy volume franchised dealer environment or independent garage/dealer. If you have knowledge of the Citroen brand that would be fantastic but not essential.

You will require a Full UK drivers’ licence and have your own tools

Depending on your skill level the role will involve:

  • Utilising your mechanical knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including clutch replacement and cam belt replacement
  • Effectively and productively service and maintain customer vehicles from brake pads and tyres to oil and filter checks
  • Complete minor electrical work as and when required
  • Meet and discuss the vehicle and repairs needed with the customer when necessary
  • Mentor apprentices and support less experienced team members
  • Ability to complete a Vehicle Health Check (VHC) ensuring that the (VHC) video completion meets target and exceeds all Vehicle (VHC) KPIs

What will you need to succeed in the role:

  • Technical knowledge to allow you to confidently and safely carry out repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles
  • Demonstrate capability and confidence in using equipment within the workshop
  • Experience within a franchise dealer or independent garage working to the highest quality standards
  • Experience of working to productivity targets
  • Mentor & Coach apprentices and support less experienced team members
  • NVQ level 2/3 trained with work experience in a franchised dealer or independent garage

Drop in and meet the Service Leader and have a coffee or tea on us, and we will talk you through this exciting opportunity
