Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 pro rata, dependent on experience

Are you looking for a part time role and interested in joining an ambitious female led startup focussed on food sustainability? We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper who can work independently to help us build and deliver the financial processes we need to grow.
Purpose:
This role is crucial to the effective running of the organisation.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering our financial processes and systems to help us grow.
You will help to ensure the smooth running of our financial operations by building strong links with the different members of the team owning targets, and pulling together overall forecasts.
Main responsibilities include:
- Bookkeeping assignments,
- Sales and purchase ledger processing,
- Credit control,
- Processing invoices,
- Making payments,
- Bank reconciliations and other balance sheet item reconciliations
- VAT return preparation
- Payroll Preparation
The right person will help us to:
- Develop systems and processes suitable for working at scale.
- Providing and interpreting our financial information to help drive decisions.
- Managing a company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;
- Liaising with auditors to file our accounts, VAT and other financial requirements
- Report on the financial performance of the organisation and provide analysis and advice to MGMT
- Support team leads with budgeting and forecasting and ensure costs are in line with budget / forecast.
We’re looking for:
- Significant experience as a bookkeeper / financial manager
- Confident IT skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of working in a startup / fast growing software business a plus
- A passion for sustainability
- Good working knowledge of Xero, Stripe and Monday.com
