On the track, Formula 1 is a team sport. And the business behind is the same. We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team. You will commission, maintain and operate the Formula 1 IT Network Infrastructure and ensure that it continues to meet ongoing business objectives.
Reporting into the IT Network Manager, you will:
- Rig, commission and then following the event de-rig the IT Network Infrastructure at Grand Prix events
- Have a positive input on upgrade designs and planning
- Be responsible for operational systems and intervene where and when required
- Maintain correct and detailed documentation for the IT Network Infrastructure
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for equipment purchase, maintenance and upgrades
- Assist with budget preparation
- Ensure the IT Network Infrastructure is compliant with GPDR regulation and SOX compliance
- Be available to work on the IT Network Infrastructure outside of usual ‘Business Hours’, both planned and unplanned
Technical areas of responsibility include but not limited to:
- Routers & Switches
- Firewalls
- Wi-Fi
- Load balancers
- Remote access / VPN
- WAN / Internet connectivity
- WAN optimisation
- VoIP Networking
- Network analysis and monitoring
- Network design & IP addressing
- External DNS & certificates
- Colocation provisioning
- Cloud network provisioning
- Time sync
- Power, UPS & wiring
You have:
- Degree, HND/C in IT related Subject (or relevant experience)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing & Switching (CCNP)
- Extensive IT networking experience
- Network switching, routing and Wi-Fi in a Cisco environment (IOS and NX-OS)
- Corporate firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto)
- Ability to lead projects from concept to delivery
- Ability to travel with the UK and Internationally
