Consultant Microbiologist / Infectious Diseases Medical Microbiologist
We are currently seeking a highly qualified GMC Consultant Microbiologist / GMC Infectious Diseases Medical Microbiologist to join our team.
As a consultant in our microbiology department, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of infectious diseases, contributing to the overall well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic testing and analysis of various clinical samples to identify infectious agents and provide accurate and timely results.
- Provide expert advice on infection prevention and control measures, including the management of outbreaks within healthcare settings.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with infectious diseases.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings, research projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in the field of microbiology and infectious diseases, maintaining your knowledge and skills through continuous professional development.
- Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 , (1:5 weekend on-calls, remote)
- Pay Circa £200,000 per annum
- Only applicants with at least a years UK experience in a similar role will be considered
