Overview

We are seeking a full-time Senior Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be performing inspections required per supplied print

Essential Functions

Demonstrates advanced competencies of an Incoming CMM Programmer 1 & 2Perform all related activities applied to First Article InspectionsDemonstrate leadership in the Incoming Inspection area and ability to prioritize, assign, and motivate team for desired resultsProficient in the application and communication of GD+TCommunicates clearly with Engineering to achieve desired inspection resultsBe a strategic thinker, who considers the value proposition in all work performedDemonstrates a selfless attitude and put others needs above their own allowing the team to work in a highly effective mannerAbility to package CMM inspection data in a concise and clear manner to communicate to end userDesign and or configure inspection fixture with specific inspection requirements in mindAble to set-up, program and operate CMM for advanced inspectionsPerform duties and responsibilities of Incoming CMM Programmer 2Mentor inspectors on Garmin documentation requirements and inspection techniques as well as any new or revised procedures and methodsIndependently coordinate daily work for the team to align priorities and resources to ensure timely and accurate resultsEnsure inspection plans and inspection methods are strategically aligned with team goalsAdvanced contributorSought for expertise by internal stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

Possess qualifications of CMM Programmer 2Associate Degree in Electronics, Machining Technology, Quality or related field and 3 years’ experience operating and program a CMM, OR a Certificate in Electronics, Machining Technology, Quality and minimum 4 year of experience operating and programming a CMM, OR High School Diploma and advanced level CMM training with at least 5 years of operating and programming a CMMWork experience should include but not be limited to all bench top inspection methods and use of CMM, Optical Comparator, and Vision CameraAble to provide mentorship and guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 programmersAble to communicate high level inspection plans, findings, and issues to manufacturing and engineeringPossess knowledge of and stays up to date on new inspection programs and software
