4589 Police Staff Investigator - Economic Crime - Gloucestershire Constabulary (tal.net)

Gloucestershire Constabulary Economic Crime Team has a vacancy for a Police Staff Investigator (PSI).

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an investigative mindset and an interest in fraud. The successful candidate will work to the highest standards of investigation as part of an innovative and dynamic team of Detectives and Police Staff. The post-holder will develop the skills and knowledge to investigate economic crime including fraud, money laundering, corruption, bribery, and electoral malpractice. An ability to work as part of a team and alone is critical, along with the resilience and determination to successfully manage protracted investigations. A good understanding of the Fraud Investigation Model would be beneficial but is not a pre-requisite for the role.

The successful candidate will undertake successive developmental training, from general crime investigation to specialised economic crime courses. This will be interspersed with practical “on the job” experience with different teams across the organisation. The postholder will also be required to undertake the National Investigators Exam and undertake an attachment to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for up to 12 months; this involves a rotating shift pattern including evenings and weekends.

The postholder will be required to perform other investigative roles, sometimes in other areas of the organisation, as and when required by operational demand and the Senior Leadership Team. This will also include working irregular hours, evenings, and weekends.
