We’re looking for a Trainee Accountant.
Main responsibilities
- Preparation and processing of payroll data for weekly & monthly paid staff
- Cash Management processing in Oracle
- Preparation of VAT return for the Finance Director on a monthly basis
- Prepare and process journals at month end along with Management Accountant
- Provide support for the Management Accountant as required
Key Tasks
- Act Responsible for Queens Road petty cash
- Driver Revenue Reconciliation to cash banked
- Interrogate and balance expenses journals for staff
- Processing of supporting data for TfGM invoice submission
- Reconcile and interrogate all bank statements lines
- Produce weekly cashflow forecasts for Group
- Assist the external auditors with any enquiries
- Balance web / mobile sales and other ‘off bus’ revenue streams
Essential Requirements
- Excellent organisational and administrational skills
- Ability to work under own initiative & under instruction
- Microsoft Office applications
- Good communication skills: both written and verbal
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Self-starter and highly motivated
Desired Requirements
- Good sense of humour and a flexible approach to varying workloads
- Good knowledge of Oracle
Salary
- £21,000 per year
Notes
The position comes with a training package where Go North West will fund the required exams for the successful candidate to become a qualified accountant. The successful candidate can choose the ACCA or CIMA qualification.
