Hall Green Junior School is a popular, oversubscribed 4 form entry Junior school. We have very able and talented children and an enthusiastic, hardworking staff team.
The Governors are looking to recruit a well-motivated, enthusiastic, and resourceful Family Support Worker with previous experience of delivering effective and dynamic support to both children and families in the primary setting. This role will cover home School co-ordination and be our Attendance Officer
The role is wide ranging and will include such things as improving attendance, working with outside agencies, signposting families, making referrals, attending meetings, home visits, running sessions for parents and supporting children in school to overcome barriers to learning. You will be one of the trained DSLs in school.
Candidates must have relevant qualifications, have excellent communication skills to develop effective relationships with both children and families and be able to work within appropriate professional boundaries.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
