Job summary

We have an opportunity within our Adult Mental Health Services, for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team.

We provide care for adults on an acute assessment ward. As part of our team you will act as a primary nurse with professional accountability to effectively plan, deliver and evaluate care for patients with a range of conditions. Acting as a role model you will demonstrate the ability to apply research and evidence to promote best practice and ensure high quality of care to the patients.

Individuals at this level will be able to plan, deliver care for high risk individuals within an inpatient setting and give guidance and support to less experienced staff. The role also involves day to day shift leadership in the absence of the Charge Nurse, requiring an ability to lead confidently. Electronic recording keeping is used across the service and the post holder will therefore need to evidence a good standard of IT skills.

As a 1st. Level Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will have at least 2 years recent experience within this specialist area.

Applications will be considered from newly/recently qualified nurses. For an informal discussion please contact Tony Simmons, Ward Manager Orchard House on 01534 443360
