Role Overview & Responsibilities
Hello Oriental are looking for a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our vibrant and expanding team.
Based just off Oxford Road our award winning food hall boasts a cafe, Vietnamese Restaurant and Oriental Food Hall. Our food hall has won and been nominated for several awards since opening and was described as a "Northern powerhouse of Asian street food" in the Sunday Times
The right candidate will be expected to:
- Control and direct the food preparation process
- Approve and polishing dishes before they reach the customer
- Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels
- Create menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality
- Determine food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
- Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
- Be responsible for health and safety
- Be responsible for food hygiene practices
Ideally the candidate will have experience in cooking and preparing Asian food however this is not strictly essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
