At Henkel we do not run our own fleet, so we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual who is experienced in managing 3rd party transport partners supplying us with our customer delivery service.
YOUR ROLE
- Coaching and managing team of Transport Co-ordinators in all aspects of customer delivery arrangements and day to day carrier management
- Negotiating rates and running service contract tenders with 3rd party Transport suppliers
- Managing 3rd party Transport providers to ensure customer shipments are cost effectively delivered on time
- Driving KPI performance improvements with 3rd party transport providers
- Transport provider invoice approval and spend tracking / reporting
- Ensuring all relevant customs requirements are understood and export shipping paperwork is produced correctly
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and projects with external transport providers to improve service, cost & digitalization
YOUR SKILLS
- At least 3 years of previous experience in a Transport / logistics role or similar
- Great attention to detail, time management and organisation skills.
- Logistics Degree preferred
- Excellent customer service experience is essential.
- Diplomacy and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Literate and be proficient in the MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- A team player with a positive “can do” attitude at all times.
