What’s the role?
Over half of this business’ head count works in the sourcing function and there are multiple vacancies across teams. You’ll work within an assigned category, sourcing products and services under the direction of technical experts.
You’ll be really comfortable with end to end, multi stage procurement processes. Three quotes off an approved supplier list- this is not. If words like ITT, request for clarification, EU law and contract award are familiar in your day to day this could be the one for you.
You’ll need to be able to build, manage and negotiate supplier relationships. Negotiating 1% off £1.6bn of procured services and products soon adds up!
People who have experience of public sector procurement and the complexities this brings are highly sought after for these roles! As is anyone who has procured transportation, major capital products or within the medical and healthcare sectors.
