Role Overview & Responsibilities

As one of the leading commercial and military boat yards in the UK specialising in the new build, refit & repair of small craft up to 24m we require a Project Manager to join our team.

Holyhead Marine have built up a wide ranging portfolio of vessel designs to meet the needs of their commercial and military client base. They are a long established company and are situated in Holyhead on Anglesey, North Wales.

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for managing both new build and refit / repair projects and will be involved from developing proposals through to the delivery and hand over of a completed project.

The Project Manager responsibilities and personal qualities are as follows:

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customers, statutory authorities, surveyors, agents, suppliers, sub-contractors, etc,
  • Manage resources to successfully complete projects on time and within budgets whilst maintaining safety and quality standards,
  • Monitor progress and report,
  • Manage tests and trials
  • Develop and maintain systems to control projects.

Personal qualities:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of small craft design and construction with either a production background or an appropriate degree qualification
  • Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Positive and organised approach
  • Self-motivated and flexible.
