Hydraquip is the largest independent Hose & Hydraulics Company in the UK. We are dedicated to providing the highest levels of service to our customers. The key to our success is our people and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Advisor to join our team.

For the right person, this role can be remote or hybrid (depending on your location) working 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

The Payroll Advisor Role:

Duties as the Payroll Advisor will include:

  • Process Payroll & Staffing data, including starters, changes and leavers, deductions and payments, and overtime claims
  • Calculate and process increments, pay awards and allowance changes in accordance with national and local agreements
  • Accurately prepare and input data into the payroll system, adhering to deadlines
  • Process third party deductions as requested by outside agencies in accordance with Government regulations.
  • Maintain accurate staff records to reflect changes in personal data that may affect payroll calculations, such as sickness and maternity leave.
  • Act as the first point of contact to resolve and respond to employee payroll queries in a timely manner
  • Assist in the administration of the Group's pension schemes in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Maintain close working relationships with HR.

The successful candidate will be a technical expert in payroll, with at least 3 years’ experience. They will have sound knowledge of Tax, National Insurance, SSP and SMP and be confident working within a fast paced environment with tight deadlines, so the ability to prioritise is essential. Excellent attention to detail is vital, along with being a professional and approachable member of the Hydraquip team; as they will be liaising daily with employees and other departments within the business to help resolve payroll queries.
