Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to help manage our End User Computing (EUC) estate. Working within our Infrastructure team, you will be working with a mixture of on-premises solutions and cloud technologies to ensure that our compute estate remains modern, performant, and secure.

Working in a Hybrid workplace, you will be working on a predominately Windows client and server-based estate supporting the entire firm. Much of the role is focused on End User Computing, however, being part of the Infrastructure team provides a fantastic opportunity to develop technical skills across a broad range of technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provisioning and maintenance of Operating Systems to staff or service delivery teams.
  • Troubleshooting, supporting, and maintaining the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Intune Infrastructure.
  • Updating or creating technical documentation.
  • Provide support and training to other members of the IT department regarding EUC.
  • Management of mobile devices via Intune.
  • Administration of Software Asset Management.
  • Collaboration with the wider digital community such as Security, Software Engineering and Service Desk functions.
  • Occasional travel to each of our offices (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, London)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of supporting Windows client Operating Systems.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
  • Experience of MECM or SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
  • Experience of working to incident resolution, manging change, and working to SLAs.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Automation skills such as PowerShell is desirable.
  • Experience of administering Intune is desirable.

About you:

  • A genuine and relentless passion for technology.
  • Confidence to engage constructively in a multi-disciplined team, thinking expansively and seek new perspective to build strong professional relationships.
  • Focus on technical self-training based on gaining understanding rather than memory of steps.
  • Unrelenting focus on user experience and customer satisfaction.
