UK & France VAT Adviser

Introduction
Lead the IDT support for UK, France, and some French speaking countries in Africa

Your Role and Responsibilities
Review VAT returns prepared by CoE. Supervise tax authority audits/correspondence. Identify areas for process improvement /VAT savings. Provide support and updates to the business on all indirect tax matters including system changes such as ierp implementations. Work with the wider Tax team to support ad-hoc projects.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3 years post qualification experience in UK VAT compliance and VAT advisory roles
• Working knowledge of the EU Directives
• Tax or Accounting Qualification
• Confident and effective communicator able to work within a diverse European team
• Experience of dealing directly with HMRC

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5 years post qualification experience.
• Working knowledge of the French VAT rules
• French language skills
• Varied VAT Experience in either HMRC, large corporate or an Accounting firm.
