Job Description: Workshop Assistant

We are a family-run business seeking a Garden Building Workshop Assistant to join our team. As a workshop assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of high-quality garden buildings and outdoor structures. You will work closely with our skilled craftsmen to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of garden buildings and outdoor structures, including measuring, cutting, and assembly of materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop, including the proper storage and disposal of materials.
  • Operate and maintain workshop equipment, including power tools and hand tools.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a workshop environment or with power tools and hand tools preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines and regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.80-£12.80 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Northampton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
