SRE/DevOps Support Engineer (W2)

Position: SRE- DevOps support role Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, i.e., MTW)
Note:Job Summary:Application Support candidate. Less DevOpsMonitoring tools- AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, GrafanaGeneos exp is preferred.Intermediate SQL knowledge/experienceScripting- Bash/shell
Job Description:Proficient in DevOps Engineering skills as well as multiple design techniquesWorking proficiency in DevOps Engineering development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve softwareStrong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworksStrong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and securityProficiency in one or more general purpose programming languagesWorking proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of software. Required Skills (Technical expertise of 4+ years the below areas, overall IT experience of 6+ years):Proficiency in Java / JVM based system design & implementationInfrastructure knowledge required including Unix, Windows, networking, and scripting (e.g., Perl / Python)Experience with orchestration tools like Jenkins CI/CD, or JulesExperience following source control best practices: Git/bitbucketExperience with database development (MySQL / Oracle)Understanding of architecture and design across distributed systems
