Role Overview & Responsibilities

An amazing opportunity within our Balblair Distillery.

As the quintessential distillery, Balblair sits on a remote and unspoiled hillside overlooking the Dornoch Firth in the North of Scotland. Our whiskies are the embodiment of everything we stand for. We use only the finest ingredients and traditional processes to craft our distinctive, characterful whisky.

Purpose of Role

To deliver a consistent 5-star customer experience across Tours, Tastings, and Events, communicating our heritage and Brand story with passion and energy. You will be responsible for inspiring and educating our visitors, acting as an ambassador to the business.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors and guide them through a tour of the distillery delivering a 5-star experience acting as a guide and a host.
• Conduct tastings ensuring education is on brand message.
• Assist in the smooth running of the Brand Home shop including:
• Welcome shoppers in a friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
• Process customer card and cash payments.
• Capture and record customer bookings.
• Assist with customer enquiries.
• Maintain housekeeping and health & safety standards as required to ensure a safe environment for both our people and our visitors.
• Notify the Senior Host of customer queries in a timely manner to ensure they are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
• Participate in brand training to ensure continuous development of brand knowledge.

Personal Profile

• Friendly, Confident & Engaging style.
• Customer focused.
• Strong communication skills.
• Previous Guide/Host experience and knowledge on whisky production would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: From £9.90 per hour

Schedule:

• Weekend availability

Work Location: One location
